Welcome to Yitro –Jethro, this week’s Parasha -Torah Portion.
18 Now Yitro the priest of Midyan, Moshe’s father-in-law, heard about all that God had done for Moshe and for Isra’el his people, how Adonai had brought Isra’el out of Egypt. 2 After Moshe had sent away his wife Tzipporah and her two sons, Yitro Moshe’s father-in-law had taken them back. 3 The name of the one son was Gershom, for Moshe had said, “I have been a foreigner in a foreign land.” 4 The name of the other was Eli‘ezer [my God helps], “because the God of my father helped me by rescuing me from Pharaoh’s sword.” 5 Yitro Moshe’s father-in-law brought Moshe’s sons and wife to him in the desert where he was encamped, at the mountain of God. 6 He sent word to Moshe, “I, your father-in-law Yitro, am coming to you with your wife and her two sons.”
7 Moshe went out to meet his father-in-law, prostrated himself and kissed him. Then, after inquiring of each other’s welfare, they entered the tent. 8 Moshe told his father-in-law all that Adonai had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians for Isra’el’s sake, all the hardships they had suffered while traveling and how Adonai had rescued them. 9 Yitro rejoiced over all the good that Adonai had done for Isra’el by rescuing them from the Egyptians. 10 Yitro said, “Blessed be Adonai, who has rescued you from the Egyptians and from Pharaoh, who has rescued the people from the harsh hand of the Egyptians. 11 Now I know that Adonai is greater than all other gods, because he rescued those who were treated so arrogantly.” 12 Yitro Moshe’s father-in-law brought a burnt offering and sacrifices to God, and Aharon came with all the leaders of Isra’el to share the meal before God with Moshe’s father-in-law.
(ii) 13 The following day Moshe sat to settle disputes for the people, while the people stood around Moshe from morning till evening. 14 When Moshe’s father-in-law saw all that he was doing to the people, he said, “What is this that you are doing to the people? Why do you sit there alone, with all the people standing around you from morning till evening?” 15 Moshe answered his father-in-law, “It’s because the people come to me seeking God’s guidance. 16 Whenever they have a dispute, it comes to me; I judge between one person and another, and I explain to them God’s laws and teachings.”
17 Moshe’s father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing isn’t good. 18 You will certainly wear yourself out — and not only yourself, but these people here with you as well. It’s too much for you — you can’t do it alone, by yourself. 19 So listen now to what I have to say. I will give you some advice, and God will be with you. You should represent the people before God, and you should bring their cases to God. 20 You should also teach them the laws and the teachings, and show them how to live their lives and what work they should do. 21 But you should choose from among all the people competent men who are God-fearing, honest and incorruptible to be their leaders, in charge of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 22 Normally, they will settle the people’s disputes. They should bring you the difficult cases; but ordinary matters they should decide themselves. In this way, they will make it easier for you and share the load with you. 23 If you do this — and God is directing you to do it — you will be able to endure; and all these people too will arrive at their destination peacefully.”
(iii) 24 Moshe paid attention to his father-in-law’s counsel and did everything he said. 25 Moshe chose competent men from all Isra’el and made them heads over the people, in charge of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 26 As a general rule, they settled the people’s disputes — the difficult cases they brought to Moshe, but every simple matter they decided themselves.
27 Then Moshe let his father-in-law leave, and he went off to his own country.
19 (iv) In the third month after the people of Isra’el had left the land of Egypt, the same day they came to the Sinai Desert. 2 After setting out from Refidim and arriving at the Sinai Desert, they set up camp in the desert; there in front of the mountain, Isra’el set up camp.
3 Moshe went up to God, and Adonai called to him from the mountain: “Here is what you are to say to the household of Ya‘akov, to tell the people of Isra’el: 4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now if you will pay careful attention to what I say and keep my covenant, then you will be my own treasure from among all the peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6 and you will be a kingdom of cohanim for me, a nation set apart.’ These are the words you are to speak to the people of Isra’el.”
(v) 7 Moshe came, summoned the leaders of the people and presented them with all these words which Adonai had ordered him to say. 8 All the people answered as one, “Everything Adonai has said, we will do.” Moshe reported the words of the people to Adonai. 9 Adonai said to Moshe, “See, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, so that the people will be able to hear when I speak with you and also to trust in you forever.” Moshe had told Adonai what the people had said; 10 so Adonai said to Moshe, “Go to the people; today and tomorrow separate them for me by having them wash their clothing; 11 and prepare for the third day. For on the third day, Adonai will come down on Mount Sinai before the eyes of all the people. 12 You are to set limits for the people all around; and say, ‘Be careful not to go up on the mountain or even touch its base; whoever touches the mountain will surely be put to death. 13 No hand is to touch him; for he must be stoned or shot by arrows; neither animal nor human will be allowed to live.’ When the shofar sounds, they may go up on the mountain.”
(S: vi) 14 Moshe went down from the mountain to the people and separated the people for God, and they washed their clothing. 15 He said to the people, “Prepare for the third day; don’t approach a woman.”
16 On the morning of the third day, there was thunder, lightning and a thick cloud on the mountain. Then a shofar blast sounded so loudly that all the people in the camp trembled. 17 Moshe brought the people out of the camp to meet God; they stood near the base of the mountain. 18 Mount Sinai was enveloped in smoke, because Adonai descended onto it in fire — its smoke went up like the smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain shook violently. 19 As the sound of the shofar grew louder and louder, Moshe spoke; and God answered him with a voice.
(A: vi, S: vii) 20 Adonai came down onto Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; then Adonai called Moshe to the top of the mountain; and Moshe went up. 21 Adonai said to Moshe, “Go down and warn the people not to force their way through to Adonai to see him; if they do, many of them will perish. 22 Even the cohanim, who are allowed to approach Adonai, must keep themselves holy; otherwise, Adonai may break out against them.” 23 Moshe said to Adonai, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, because you ordered us to set limits around the mountain and separate it.” 24 But Adonai answered him, “Go, get down! Then come back up, you and Aharon with you. But don’t let the cohanim and the people force their way through to come up to Adonai, or he will break out against them.”
25 So Moshe went down to the people and told them.
20 Then God said all these words:
א 2 “I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery.
ב 3 “You are to have no other gods before me. 4 You are not to make for yourselves a carved image or any kind of representation of anything in heaven above, on the earth beneath or in the water below the shoreline. 5 You are not to bow down to them or serve them; for I, Adonai your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my mitzvot.
ג 7 “You are not to use lightly the name of Adonai your God, because Adonai will not leave unpunished someone who uses his name lightly.
ד 8 “Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God. 9 You have six days to labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Adonai your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work — not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property. 11 For in six days, Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. This is why Adonai blessed the day, Shabbat, and separated it for himself.
ה 12 “Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land which Adonai your God is giving you.
ו 13 “Do not murder.
ז (14) “Do not commit adultery.
ח (15) “Do not steal.
ט (16) “Do not give false evidence against your neighbor.
י 14 (17) “Do not covet your neighbor’s house; do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
(A: vii) 15 (18) All the people experienced the thunder, the lightning, the sound of the shofar, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled. Standing at a distance, 16 (19) they said to Moshe, “You, speak with us; and we will listen. But don’t let God speak with us, or we will die.” 17 (20) Moshe answered the people, “Don’t be afraid, because God has come only to test you and make you fear him, so that you won’t commit sins.” 18 (21) So the people stood at a distance, but Moshe approached the thick darkness where God was.
(A: Maftir) 19 (22) Adonai said to Moshe, “Here is what you are to say to the people of Isra’el: ‘You yourselves have seen that I spoke with you from heaven. 20 (23) You are not to make with me gods of silver, nor are you to make gods of gold for yourselves. (S: Maftir) 21 (24) For me you need make only an altar of earth; on it you will sacrifice your burnt offerings, peace offerings, sheep, goats and cattle. In every place where I cause my name to be mentioned, I will come to you and bless you. 22 (25) If you do make me an altar of stone, you are not to build it of cut stones; for if you use a tool on it, you profane it. 23 (26) Likewise, you are not to use steps to go up to my altar; so that you won’t be indecently uncovered.’”
6 In the year of King ‘Uziyahu’s death I saw Adonai sitting on a high, lofty throne! The hem of his robe filled the temple. 2 S’rafim stood over him, each with six wings — two for covering his face, two for covering his feet and two for flying. 3 They were crying out to each other,
“More holy than the holiest holiness
The whole earth is filled
with his glory!”
4 The doorposts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then I said,
“Woe to me! I [too] am doomed! —
because I, a man with unclean lips,
living among a people with unclean lips,
have seen with my own eyes
the King, Adonai–Tzva’ot!”
6 One of the s’rafim flew to me with a glowing coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 He touched my mouth with it and said,
“Here! This has touched your lips.
Your iniquity is gone,
your sin is atoned for.”
8 Then I heard the voice of Adonai saying,
“Whom should I send?
Who will go for us?”
I answered, “I’m here, send me!” 9 He said, “Go and tell this people:
‘Yes, you hear, but you don’t understand.
You certainly see, but you don’t get the point!’
10 “Make the heart of this people [sluggish with] fat,
stop up their ears, and shut their eyes.
Otherwise, seeing with their eyes,
and hearing with their ears,
then understanding with their hearts,
they might repent and be healed!”
11 I asked, “Adonai, how long?” and he answered,
“Until cities become uninhabited ruins,
houses without human presence,
the land utterly wasted;
12 until Adonai drives the people far away,
and the land is one vast desolation.
13 If even a tenth [of the people] remain,
it will again be devoured.
“But like a pistachio tree or an oak,
whose trunk remains alive
after its leaves fall off,
the holy seed will be its trunk.”
5 (6) For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us;
dominion will rest on his shoulders,
and he will be given the name
Pele-Yo‘etz El Gibbor
[Wonder of a Counselor, Mighty God,
Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace],
6 (7) in order to extend the dominion
and perpetuate the peace
of the throne and kingdom of David,
to secure it and sustain it
through justice and righteousness
henceforth and forever.
The zeal of Adonai–Tzva’ot
will accomplish this.
1 John 5:1–11
5 Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah has God as his father, and everyone who loves a father loves his offspring too. 2 Here is how we know that we love God’s children: when we love God, we also do what he commands. 3 For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, 4 because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust. 5 Who does overcome the world if not the person who believes that Yeshua is the Son of God?
6 He is the one who came by means of water and blood, Yeshua the Messiah — not with water only, but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 There are three witnesses — 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood — and these three are in agreement. 9 If we accept human witness, God’s witness is stronger, because it is the witness which God has given about his Son. 10 Those who keep trusting in the Son of God have this witness in them. Those who do not keep trusting God have made him out to be a liar, because they have not trusted in the witness which God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the witness: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
This is from Prophecy 105, YAHUVEH said to put this up on all Prophecies from now on: I warned you a long time ago Elisabeth (Elisheva) not to name this Ministry after a man or a woman even before there was a Ministry. I put it in your spirit for none of this has been done by your hand, none of this has come forth from your mouth. It is from the Mouth of YAHUVEH that has given birth. It is from the Mouth of YAHUSHUA your MASHIACH that has given birth. It is from the Mouth of the RUACH ha KODESH your IMMAYAH that has given birth. If it had only been by your hand it would have failed long ago. It is by the SHKHINYAH GLORY’S Wind that blows across this earth, the Holy Wind of Revival, it is not by your breath or it would have failed. (Isaiah 42:8)

Torah Portion: Work And Relationship
Prophecy 134 I, YAHUSHUA, Take You To A New Elevation of Faith!”
Now MY children I take your faith to a new level. See yourself on an elevator. See yourself where you first began. And the closer you get to Heaven, I take you to a new floor, a new elevation of your faith. I AM teaching each of you. I AM YOUR INDIVIDUAL TEACHER. Each one of you have MY Ear, have MY Eye. All you have to do is surrender your lives to ME and say, “I do not want to do this my way.”
I know each one of your fears. You cannot hide them from ME, so you might as well confess them so I can alleviate those fears. There is no shame in fear unless it stops you from doing what I have told you to do. There is no shame in grief, unless it stops you from doing what I have told you to do.
I have given you all your jobs. You call it a “job.” I call it a “calling.” But I’ve laid out the plans as a blueprint for your life. Some of you cannot see the blueprint clearly yet. It takes an expert to read a blueprint.
But through your faith you will read that blueprint. Through your faith you will hear MY voice. Through your faith you will see through MY eyes. For there is not one sacrifice that you do unto MY Glory―[that] as it is found pleasing unto ME as a sweet fragrance to MY Nostrils, you will be rewarded. This reward shall follow you to Heaven.
There are those that will only make Heaven with their last dying breath. But MY Bride you are not counted amongst those. You have rewards that follow you, for you serve ME so faithfully.
This Hanukkah you rejoice as you have been taught that it is MY conception. Am I not your YAHUSHUA, your MASHIACH, your GUIDING LIGHT?
The Orthodox Jews celebrate the Festival of Lights and do not even understand they celebrate WHO I AM. You tell them Elisabeth (Elisheva). Let this Ministry shout it loud and clear! It was more than an oil lamp that did not go out. I AM that LIVING OIL LAMP! I AM the LIVING OIL! And no man can take MY life! I willingly laid it down and I picked it back up and lived again.
There’s one thing you will know, the plans I’ve made for you are only for your good and I will not let evil touch you. […]
I’ve already told you, Adam, anoint the house, not only inside but outside and anoint the driveway. Take this seriously; take not for granted the anointing of the house. Adam, this must never stop! This is a weapon given to you. This blocks the enemy out. Pour a little bit of oil on the driveway. This is a new teaching I give unto you and ask for MY legions of Holy angels to surround and guard the house.
Adam, continue to feed MY sheep and lambs for Poland is a wildfire that’s never gone out. Only when you get to Heaven Adam will you see how much your hard work has paid off, as one Polish person after another will personally come and tell you. Adam, oh Adam, you are so pleasing unto ME. And I guard your love Adam, oh so jealously. Kathrynyah, oh, Kathrynyah, you are so pleasing unto ME and I guard our time together so jealously.
Torah Portion: The Voice of ELOHIM
Prophecy 36 I am Not Only Your God of Yesterday, Tomorrow but Even in The Darkest Hour!”
When you hear accusations of hoarding and governments that never rationed start rationing, when even the water is doled out as though it were a gift from man, then know this is the beginning of what I have prophesied above. When war is on all sides, and your country is ambushed know that I have forewarned those that were to FLEE and told them where to FLEE and if they obey they are under MY umbrella of safety, if they do not obey then although I love them and grieve for them they shall suffer in ways that would not have been necessary Have one fear and that fear is not hearing MY voice.
Seek the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the God of Israel while I can yet be found. I am speaking not in a loud voice to your Spirits but a still small voice for those that care enough to incline their ears to ME and strain you shall hear ME speak. Is it worth it to you to care enough to lean closer to ME as I whisper MY instructions to you? Is it worth it when MY RUACH ha KODESH says to fast, you are to fast to be able to hear ME more clearly?
Oh MY Little Ones, how I long to cradle you in MY arms yet you shun MY very touch. For MY touch is Holy and for ME to touch you convicts you. So I must touch you in a way I would rather not, like a Father spanking a child I shall get your attention one way or another. But those who trust in ME, those who long for MY touch, I shall shelter you and protect you. I shall cradle you in MY arms and nurse you like a mother nursing a wounded child. I tell you MY beloved the coming days shall not be a thing to dread as long as you keep your faith in the God you worship, love, serve, and strive to obey. I shall not leave nor forsake you! Do not fear man instead fear the God you serve. If you are not listening for MY voice you shall miss your directions.
As Lot was refused entrance by the angel warning him not to enter, so too when I say flee from whatever country you’re in, then OBEY! I shall send you angels disguised as men and women and they shall speak forth MY Words but be deceived not. If it doesn’t line up with the word of “I AM”, if the RUACH ha KODESH is not found in them, then do not listen to anyone that is not worshipping, serving, loving, putting ME first in all ways! For the enemy will send those that look holy and talk holy and yet listen close to the words they speak. Are they encouraging you to stay in faith, to remain living holy, to follow MY laws of old? Which have never become outdated for MY laws, MY Torah is ageless. Are they preaching another gospel that says there is another way to Heaven and you don’t need the Blood of MY Son YAHUSHUA to get there? If they are telling you to follow man’s laws and throw away MY laws then I tell you this, I have not sent them to guide you or mentor you in anyway.
What do lightness and darkness have in common? What does MY Son YAHUSHUA and satan have in common evil cannot lead good. The political leaders are corrupt and you must discern rightly between good and evil. Your political leaders in all parts of the world have sold ME out. Satan was the highest bidder but I shall show them what I think for the game is not over. I control and rule though they want to ignore MY rulership. Even a nation that says it worships ME and the leadership knows not who “I AM” nor wants to serve ME, nor wants to obey ME.
Torah Portion: A Special Place For Women
Prophecy 12 Daughters Of Destiny Come Forth!
Beloved Daughters of Destiny, walk not in your own peace, but YAHUSHUA’s peace that passes all understanding. Walk not in your own strength but in the God you serve strength. Stay not in the boat MY Daughter but walk out on the water, with ME. What you think is impossible, I will make a way. What blocks and hinders you, I will remove. Though the waves will look like they may drown you and the wind will roar, keep your eyes on your Savior and you will not drown. You are ordained to be a water walker not a boat sitter.
Run towards Goliath like a David. David did not run away from Goliath though he mocked, threatened, though he towered over all men, David ran towards Goliath. David showed no fear for he put his confidence not in man or a king, but in the great “I AM” and I did not fail him, nor will I fail you. Fear is the opposite of Faith. Hear ME. Fear is torment I do not send. David when he was mocked and threatened did not reply what he would do but instead what his God would do.
David did not expect to slay the enemy with the five smooth stones, for they were not even sharp stones. But David knew his weapons were not going to kill Goliath, only the wrath of YAHUVEH would kill Goliath. I put MY wrath into those stones. I slew Goliath by a young shepherd boy that people mocked when he came against the enemy they said he shall surely die, he shall fail. How can a mere youth slay a giant? These words they say to MY Daughters now.
The enemy speaks forth in many ways and says you will fail. You will die if you go against this enemy. You are weak and not meant to minister in YAHUVEH’s Name. But MY Daughters of Destiny I have chosen you. I have ordained you. I have strengthened you. Men are right; if you do this in your strength and power you will fail. You could die, but you stand not in your might, strength and power. You stand in MY anointing on MY Word, in MY Name, wearing MY Holy armor, washed in MY shed Blood of Calvary. MY Daughters, I call you MY Daughters of Destiny this day. For am I not the beginning and the end? The Great “I AM” is the God of Prophecy.
The Alpha & Omega is the God of Prophecy for I have prophesied the beginning and I have prophesied the end. Who but “I AM” can do this? I will reveal MY secrets to MY Daughters as well as MY Sons. MY Daughters I have chosen you to do the same as David. The enemy will mock and taunt, he will use others to threaten and harm. You will be slandered for MY sake. When these enemies come against you fear not what to say or do, it will not be your words you will speak but MY words you speak.
Prophecy 27 YAHUSHUA Will Return On A Sabbath! Arise Women Apostles And Prophets!
I, YAHUSHUA, am returning on a Sabbath, you know not which one. Come forth MY Women Apostles and Prophets! Arise NOW! No longer let anyone tell you I have not called you to be Prophets and Apostles, Teachers, Evangelists or Pastors! I am the Potter you are the Clay. Why will you listen to man or those with the spirit of Pharisees? Speak this message forth I give this Apostle to speak. Join with her voice, women and men who recognize MY voice speaking forth from what I write through her. Encourage one another. Satan has silenced you far too long. Apostolic Prophetic warriors you know who you are. Write MY handmaiden and encourage one another, learn from one another. I am coming back very shortly. Join hands with one another. You’re not alone. I have scattered you around the world, but you will know one another in time.
You need one another. You shall join with the men with the same calling. Yet, those that refuse to acknowledge you leave them to ME. Argue not with those with deaf ears that mean well, and yet have done much harm to those women who are told they cannot have a calling of apostle, even the one writing was discouraged and told this. She said, “Oh well, I shall continue doing what I am called to do, by whatever name you call it”. Yet the man that tells her this was deceived by another voice, not MY voice. He must REPENT for doing so. Will you be ready? YAHUSHUA IS COMING BACK ON A SABBATH! Tell all who will hear, expect them all not to believe. This is not your problem, but their problem. You are but to obey.
Together, those that I put together with you will be as a jigsaw puzzle and no other pieces will match perfectly. Keep your eyes open for others. I am bringing a troop of Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Teachers and Pastors and yet they will work as one unit. Never thinking more of themselves than what they are. Knowing standing together they will accomplish doing what I ordained to be done. A great harvest of souls will be reached and this will be one of the greatest soul bringing ministries to walk the face of this earth. For I the Father YAHUVEH, MY Son YAHUSHUA and MY RUACH ha KODESH’s Glory! Many would not have been saved if I had not raised up this ministry.
MY Apostle that men reject as an Apostle, knows MY voice and writes what she hears. Other women I have called Apostles and they have been told they cannot be used in this office, but I say unto you as I told this apostle, this is not for men to determine, how I use MY handmaidens is MY business alone. They are MY clay and I alone mold them and try them through the fire of their trials the way I so choose. Who is a man to say what I, YAHUVEH, can do and cannot do. Many men have been deceived as they underestimate the Spirits like David’s, I have put inside MY handmaidens.
The more the men fight against this, the more I raise up MY David Spirits in MY handmaidens. Pride alone causes a man to speak such things. REPENT TODAY! I have ordained her to encourage both the women Prophets and women Apostles, teachers, evangelists, and pastors. She knows the heat of persecution for the high calling I have placed on her life and on all those called to be MY Apostolic Prophetic warriors in these end times. Multitudes are women! Do not let the men or Pharisee’s HOLD YOU BACK! This is what I, YAHUVEH, have done and am doing. Who dares to tell YAHUVEH he is wrong?
Prophecy 61 Where Are All MY Holy Men That Lift Up Their Holy Hands To ME!
Where are all MY Holy men that lift up their holy hands to ME? Why are they not the spiritual head of the households? Why are the wives ruling the marriages? Why are the men cowering in the corners? Again I have to raise up the Deborah’s around this world to do the jobs the men are supposed to be doing. It is the women who know MY Word, not all, but in so many cases it is the women that say, “This is the true Sabbath day, we will honor it.” It is the women who take the children and raise them up spiritually and then you wonder why a home divided fall. You wonder why juvenile delinquency rises, you wonder why your schools are a place even the most hardened criminal would fear. You wonder why the children rule the parents. It is because MY voices you will not hear. MY voice you will not hear.
For wives, you symbolize the Bride, husbands you symbolize the Bridegroom. This is how you will know if you are pleasing unto ME. The wives who have godly husbands, who cry out in YAHUSHUA’s Name who do all they can to obey ME and MY Word. I ask you this, “Are you doing all you can to obey that godly man?” I ask this to the husbands who symbolize the Bridegroom, “Are you doing all you can to love and protect her, to be the head and not the tail? Do you deserve their respect that she desires to obey you the way the Bride of YAHUSHUA should be obeying Him? Are you praying with your family? Are you on your knees with your wife? Do you hold her hand when you pray? Do you bless your children? Do you observe MY Holy Days? Are you honoring ME on the true Sabbath, or are you just having your pleasure and your way? Are you an example of the godliness?”
These are questions that I ask you this day. Do you stand up for holiness and righteousness or are you surfing for porn on the internet? Do you think your sin is hidden in secret even those that stand behind pulpit? Are you worthy of respect of the word ‘husband,’ for you stand for the Bridegroom that comes. MY Son rules with love and compassion. Do you think you’re going to rule your household with nothing but brute force? Repent today, those that call themselves husbands, for so many of you are not worthy of your wives’ respect. But for those husbands that reflect the soon coming Bridegroom, you are worthy of that respect and you must demand that your household respect all that you stand for. And they will love and they will honor you and they will desire to obey just as surely as the Bride of YAHUSHUA desires to obey.
“Now Jethro, the priest of Midian and father-in-law of Moses, heard of everything ELOHIM had done for Moses and for his people Israel, and how YAHUVEH had brought Israel out of Egypt.” (Exodus 18:1)
In last week’s Torah study, ELOHIM brought Israel out of Egypt and parted the Red Sea to save them from Pharaoh and the Egyptians. ELOHIM provided for the needs of His people in the wilderness by raining down manna from heaven and bringing forth water from a rock.
This week, in Parasha Yitro, Moses’ father-in-law, Yitro (Jethro), comes from Midian along with Moses’ wife and two sons to meet him at the Israelites’ camp after hearing of all the great miracles that ELOHIM had performed to deliver His people.
Moses Learns How to Delegate
“So when Moses’ father-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, ‘What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit, and all the people stand before you from morning until evening?’” (Exodus 18:14)
Yitro rejoiced with Moses over all that ELOHIM had done for them; but the next day, when Yitro saw Moses spending long hours judging the people, he was concerned about the strain on Moses.
Moses’ father-in-law wisely advised him to appoint other men to occupy positions of leadership to help carry the burden, lest Moses wear himself out.
We must also be careful not to allow our work, no matter how demanding, to occupy so much of our time that our well-being and relationships suffer as a result.
We must find others to whom we can delegate some of our duties in order to give more balance to our lives.
The Word of ELOHIM tells us which qualities to look for in choosing potential leaders: capable, ELOHIM-fearing, honest people.
“Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear YAHUVEH, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.” (Exodus 18:21)
Life is not designed to be a “quick sprint.” It is a marathon. If we are to endure to the end -just as Jethro advised Moses, we must not overwork ourselves.
“Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven.” (Proverbs 23:4–5)
Thankfully, Moses listened to his father-in-law, which reveals Moses’ beautiful character trait of humility. We should be grateful, and not defensive, when YAHUVEH sends someone into our lives to give us necessary correction for our own good and the good of others.
The Voice of the ELOHIM
“Give these instructions to the family of Jacob; announce it to the descendants of Israel … ‘Now if you will obey Me and keep My covenant, you will be My own special treasure -segulah from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to Me.’” (Exodus 19:3, 5)
In this Parasha, the children of Israel camp opposite Mount Sinai, and Moses goes up the mountain to meet with ELOHIM.
On the mountain, YAHUVEH instructs Moses to tell the “House of Jacob” and the “Children of Israel” that He is making a special promise to the people: they are to be His own special nation — a kingdom of priests mamlechet cohanim and a holy nation v’goy kadosh.
If the people of Israel listen to ELOHIM’s voice and keep covenant with Him, then YAHUVEH will embrace them as His special treasure. In Hebrew, the word used is segulah, which comes from the word sagol, meaning purple — the color of royalty.
In the Brit Chadasha -New Covenant, all Believers in YAHUSHUA are sons and daughters of the King of Kings and LORD OF LORD’s; therefore, we are all royalty — kings and priests unto ELOHIM.
“He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His GOD and Father — to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:6)
The people of Israel agree to keep YAHUVEH’s commandments and to obey Him:
“Then all the people answered together and said, ‘All that YAHUVEH has spoken we will do.’” (Exodus 19:8)
Moses consecrates the people of Israel and prepares them to meet with ELOHIM to receive the law at Mount Sinai.
This was the whole purpose of the exodus from Egypt, for Israel to receive YAHUVEH’s Torah he’s instruction.
“When you will have brought the people out from Egypt, you shall serve ELOHIM upon this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12)
A Special Place for Women
Because verse three of Exodus 19 uses the two terms the “House of Jacob” and the “Children of Israel,” Jewish believe that the first term refers to the women of Israel and the second term to the men.
It is believed that when ELOHIM gave Israel the Torah, He told Moses to approach the women first.
Miryam’s role as mother of YAHUSHUA, which is prophesied by Isaiah:
“Therefore the ELOHIM Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)
“To us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
While YAHUSHUA taught many women, we know from Scripture that another Miryam became the first eye-witness to YAHUSHUA’s resurrection from the dead—the absolute sign of YAHUSHUA’s Messiahship and victory over sin.
“Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Miryam of Magdala, from whom He had cast out seven demons.” (Mark 16:9)
In a culture where women witnesses were not thought to possess credibility, this is an extraordinary event that the RUACH HAKODESH wanted us all to know.
Meeting with ELOHIM at the Foot of the Mountain
Standing at the foot of the mountain on the third day, the people of Israel met with ELOHIM, as He descended with thunder, lightning, thick clouds, and the loud sound of the shofar –ram’s horn.
The whole mountain was covered with smoke, since ELOHIM came with fire, as it is written, “ELOHIM is a consuming fire.” (Deuteronomy 4:24)
It was such a fearsome sight that the people trembled and told Moses,
“You, speak with us, and we will listen. But don’t let ELOHIM speak with us, or we will die.” (Exodus 20:19 )
Thankfully, we have not come to such a mountain of darkness, fire, and deafening, fearful noise, but to Mount Zion, the city of the living GOD, the heavenly Jerusalem and the angels — to YAHUSHUA.
We are, therefore, entering a kingdom that cannot be shaken We are entering “the city of the living GOD, heavenly Yerushalayim; to myriads of angels in festive assembly; to a community of the firstborn whose names have been recorded in Heaven; to a Judge who is ELOHIM of everyone; to spirits of righteous people who have been brought to the goal; to the mediator of a new covenant, YAHUSHUA; and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel.” (Hebrews 12:22–24)
Even though we are under the grace of the New Covenant, in which the torah of ELOHIM are written on our hearts, the commands of ELOHIM, written with His very own finger on tablets of stone are eternal and true for all people in all covenants.
Keeping His commandments is how we show our love for ELOHIM. His commandments provide a guide for a healthy, happy, productive, and harmonious life in relationship with ELOHIM and with other people.
“For this is love for YAH, to keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” (1 John 5:3)
YAHUSHUA has not set us free from sin so that we can live lawless lives. The Word of ELOHIM even warns that our prayers may not be heard if we are walking in blatant disobedience to YAH’s torah.
“One who turns away his ear from hearing the torah, even his prayer is an abomination.” (Proverbs 28:9)
The torah of YAH guards our relationships.
The first tablet containing the first five of the Ten Commandments deals with our relationship to YAH. The second set of five commandments deals with our relations with our neighbor. That is why YAHUSHUA said that loving YAH and loving our neighbor sum up the commandments. (Matthew 22:37–40)
The ELOHIM of Israel is not an impersonal “force,” but ELOHIM of love who becomes intimately involved with the affairs of mankind to save, rescue, redeem, and deliver. This is the GOD who is worthy of our love and devotion, and no one else.
Jealousy and Faithfulness
We see from the second commandment that anything we place first in our lives other than ELOHIM is idolatry. YAH is, by His own admission, a jealous ELOHIM. The Hebrew root of kanna –jealous means just indignation of one injured.
When we choose another over ELOHIM, He is injured, as a husband or wife is injured by an unfaithful spouse.
Today the world is filled with idols: wealth, fame, power, position, money, work, sexual relations, celebrities, sports, even relationships. We so often make these desires our priority, tending to put our trust and confidence in other things or people to help us meet those desires.
However, only YAH is absolutely trustworthy and His desires for us are pure and holy.
YAH’s prophetic word promises that one day His people will no longer tolerate any idolatry in their lives, but the day will come when ELOHIM shall say, “What have I to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after you.” (Hosea 14:8)
May this be the generation that seeks the ELOHIM of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and may we become united in the love of Messiah, worshipping the One True GOD in Spirit and Truth.
“It is too small a thing for you to be My servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6)
“Israel will be saved by YAHUVEH with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.” (Isaiah 45:17)
