Beshalach -When He Let Go

Welcome to this week’s Parasha -Torah Portion, which is called Beshalach –When He Let Go.

Exodus 13:17–17:16; 

Parashah 16: B’shallach (After he had let go) 13:17–17:16

17 After Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not guide them to the highway that goes through the land of the P’lishtim, because it was close by — God thought that the people, upon seeing war, might change their minds and return to Egypt. 18 Rather, God led the people by a roundabout route, through the desert by the Sea of Suf. The people of Isra’el went up from the land of Egypt fully armed.

19 Moshe took the bones of Yosef with him, for Yosef had made the people of Isra’el swear an oath when he said, “God will certainly remember you; and you are to carry my bones up with you, away from here.”

20 They traveled from Sukkot and set up camp in Etam, at the edge of the desert. 21 Adonai went ahead of them in a column of cloud during the daytime to lead them on their way, and at night in a column of fire to give them light; thus they could travel both by day and by night. 22 Neither the column of cloud by day nor the column of fire at night went away from in front of the people.

14 Adonai said to Moshe, “Tell the people of Isra’el to turn around and set up camp in front of Pi-Hachirot, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Ba‘al-Tz’fon; camp opposite it, by the sea. Then Pharaoh will say that the people of Isra’el are wandering aimlessly in the countryside, the desert has closed in on them. I will make Pharaoh so hardhearted that he will pursue them; thus I will win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will realize at last that I am Adonai.” The people did as ordered.

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people. They said, “What have we done, letting Isra’el stop being our slaves?” So he prepared his chariots and took his people with him — he took 600 first-quality chariots, as well as all the other chariots in Egypt, along with their commanders. Adonai made Pharaoh hardhearted, and he pursued the people of Isra’el, as they left boldly. (ii) The Egyptians went after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, with his cavalry and army, and overtook them as they were encamped by the sea, by Pi-Hachirot, in front of Ba‘al-Tz’fon. 10 As Pharaoh approached, the people of Isra’el looked up and saw the Egyptians right there, coming after them. In great fear the people of Isra’el cried out to Adonai 11 and said to Moshe, “Was it because there weren’t enough graves in Egypt that you brought us out to die in the desert? Why have you done this to us, bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we tell you in Egypt to let us alone, we’ll just go on being slaves for the Egyptians? It would be better for us to be the Egyptians’ slaves than to die in the desert!” 13 Moshe answered the people, “Stop being so fearful! Remain steady, and you will see how Adonai is going to save you. He will do it today — today you have seen the Egyptians, but you will never see them again! 14 Adonai will do battle for you. Just calm yourselves down!”

(A: iii) 15 Adonai asked Moshe, “Why are you crying to me? Tell the people of Isra’el to go forward! 16 Lift your staff, reach out with your hand over the sea, and divide it in two. The people of Isra’el will advance into the sea on dry ground. 17 As for me, I will make the Egyptians hardhearted; and they will march in after them; thus I will win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh and all his army, chariots and cavalry. 18 Then the Egyptians will realize that I am Adonai, when I have won myself glory at the expense of Pharaoh, his chariots and his cavalry.”

19 Next, the angel of God, who was going ahead of the camp of Isra’el, moved away and went behind them; and the column of cloud moved away from in front of them and stood behind them. 20 It stationed itself between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Isra’el — there was cloud and darkness here, but light by night there; so that the one did not come near the other all night long.

21 Moshe reached his hand out over the sea, and Adonai caused the sea to go back before a strong east wind all night. He made the sea become dry land, and its water was divided in two. 22 Then the people of Isra’el went into the sea on the dry ground, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left.

23 The Egyptians continued their pursuit, going after them into the sea — all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and cavalry. 24 Just before dawn, Adonai looked out on the Egyptian army through the column of fire and cloud and threw them into a panic. 25 He caused the wheels of their chariots to break off, so that they could move only with difficulty. The Egyptians said, “Adonai is fighting for Isra’el against the Egyptians! Let’s get away from them!”

(A: iv, S: iii) 26 Adonai said to Moshe, “Reach your hand out over the sea, and the water will return and cover the Egyptians with their chariots and cavalry.” 27 Moshe reached his hand out over the sea, and by dawn the sea had returned to its former depth. The Egyptians tried to flee, but Adonai swept them into the sea. 28 The water came back and covered all the chariots and cavalry of Pharaoh’s army who had followed them into the sea — not even one of them was left. 29 But the people of Isra’el walked on dry ground in the sea, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left.

30 On that day, Adonai saved Isra’el from the Egyptians; Isra’el saw the Egyptians dead on the shore. 31 When Isra’el saw the mighty deed that Adonai had performed against the Egyptians, the people feared Adonai, and they believed in Adonai and in his servant Moshe.

15 Then Moshe and the people of Isra’el sang this song to Adonai:

“I will sing to Adonai, for he is highly exalted:
the horse and its rider he threw in the sea.

Yah is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.
This is my God: I will glorify him;
my father’s God: I will exalt him.
Adonai is a warrior;
Adonai is his name.

Pharaoh’s chariots and his army
he hurled into the sea.
His elite commanders
were drowned in the Sea of Suf.
The deep waters covered them;
they sank to the depths like a stone.

Your right hand, Adonai, is sublimely powerful;
your right hand, Adonai, shatters the foe.
By your great majesty you bring down your enemies;
you send out your wrath to consume them like stubble.

With a blast from your nostrils the waters piled up —
the waters stood up like a wall,
the depths of the sea became firm ground.
The enemy said, ‘I will pursue and overtake,
divide the spoil and gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.’
10 You blew with your wind, the sea covered them,
they sank like lead in the mighty waters.

11 Who is like you, Adonai, among the mighty?
Who is like you, sublime in holiness,
awesome in praises, working wonders?

12 You reached out with your right hand:
the earth swallowed them.
13 In your love, you led the people you redeemed;
in your strength, you guided them to your holy abode.

14 The peoples have heard, and they tremble;
anguish takes hold of those living in P’leshet;
15 then the chiefs of Edom are dismayed;
trepidation seizes the heads of Mo’av;
all those living in Kena‘an are melted away.
16 Terror and dread fall on them;
by the might of your arm they are still as stone
until your people pass over, Adonai,
till the people you purchased pass over.

17 You will bring them in and plant them
on the mountain which is your heritage,
the place, Adonai, that you made your abode,
the sanctuary, Adonai, which your hands established.

18 Adonai will reign forever and ever.

19 For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots
and with his cavalry into the sea,
but Adonai brought the sea waters back upon them,
while the people of Isra’el walked on dry land
in the midst of the sea!”

20 Also Miryam the prophet, sister of Aharon, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines, dancing, 21 as Miryam sang to them:

“Sing to Adonai, for he is highly exalted!
The horse and its rider he threw in the sea!”

22 Moshe led Isra’el onward from the Sea of Suf. They went out into the Shur Desert; but after traveling three days in the desert, they had found no water. 23 They arrived at Marah but couldn’t drink the water there, because it was bitter. This is why they called it Marah [bitterness]. 24 The people grumbled against Moshe and asked, “What are we to drink?” 25 Moshe cried to Adonai; and Adonai showed him a certain piece of wood, which, when he threw it into the water, made the water taste good. There Adonai made laws and rules of life for them, and there he tested them. 26 He said, “If you will listen intently to the voice of Adonai your God, do what he considers right, pay attention to his mitzvot and observe his laws, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians; because I am Adonai your healer.”

(A: v, S: iv) 27 They came to Eilim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and camped there by the water.

16 They traveled on from Eilim, and the whole community of the people of Isra’el arrived at the Seen Desert, between Eilim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after leaving the land of Egypt. There in the desert the whole community of the people of Isra’el grumbled against Moshe and Aharon. The people of Isra’el said to them, “We wish Adonai had used his own hand to kill us off in Egypt! There we used to sit around the pots with the meat boiling, and we had as much food as we wanted. But you have taken us out into this desert to let this whole assembly starve to death!”

Adonai said to Moshe, “Here, I will cause bread to rain down from heaven for you. The people are to go out and gather a day’s ration every day. By this I will test whether they will observe my Torah or not. On the sixth day, when they prepare what they have brought in, it will turn out to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.” Moshe and Aharon said to all the people of Isra’el, “This evening, you will realize that it has been Adonai who brought you out of Egypt; and in the morning, you will see Adonai’s glory. For he has listened to your grumblings against Adonai — what are we that you should grumble against us?” Moshe added, “What I have said will happen when Adonai gives you meat to eat this evening and your fill of bread tomorrow morning. Adonai has listened to your complaints and grumblings against him — what are we? Your grumblings are not against us but against Adonai.”

Moshe said to Aharon, “Say to the whole community of Isra’el, ‘Come close, into the presence of Adonai, for he has heard your grumblings.’” 10 As Aharon spoke to the whole community of the people of Isra’el, they looked toward the desert; and there before them the glory of Adonai appeared in the cloud; (A: vi, S: v) 11 and Adonai said to Moshe, 12 “I have heard the grumblings of the people of Isra’el. Say to them: ‘At dusk you will be eating meat, and in the morning you will have your fill of bread. Then you will realize that I am Adonai your God.’”

13 That evening, quails came up and covered the camp; while in the morning there was a layer of dew all around the camp. 14 When the dew had evaporated, there on the surface of the desert was a fine flaky substance, as fine as frost on the ground. 15 When the people of Isra’el saw it, they asked each other, “Man hu? [What is it?]” because they didn’t know what it was. Moshe answered them, “It is the bread which Adonai has given you to eat. 16 Here is what Adonai has ordered: each man is to gather according to his appetite — each is to take an ‘omer [two quarts] per person for everyone in his tent.” 17 The people of Isra’el did this. Some gathered more, some less; 18 but when they put it in an ‘omer-measure, whoever had gathered much had no excess; and whoever had gathered little had no shortage; nevertheless each person had gathered according to his appetite.

19 Moshe told them, “No one is to leave any of it till morning.” 20 But they didn’t pay attention to Moshe, and some kept the leftovers until morning. It bred worms and rotted, which made Moshe angry at them. 21 So they gathered it morning after morning, each person according to his appetite; but as the sun grew hot, it melted.

22 On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two ‘omers per person; and all the community leaders came and reported to Moshe. 23 He told them, “This is what Adonai has said: ‘Tomorrow is a holy Shabbat for Adonai. Bake what you want to bake; boil what you want to boil; and whatever is left over, set aside and keep for the morning.’” 24 They set it aside till morning, as Moshe had ordered; and it didn’t rot or have worms. 25 Moshe said, “Today, eat that; because today is a Shabbat for Adonai — today you won’t find it in the field. 26 Gather it six days, but the seventh day is the Shabbat — on that day there won’t be any.” 27 However, on the seventh day, some of the people went out to gather and found none.

28 Adonai said to Moshe, “How long will you refuse to observe my mitzvot and teachings? 29 Look, Adonai has given you the Shabbat. This is why he is providing bread for two days on the sixth day. Each of you, stay where you are; no one is to leave his place on the seventh day.” (S: vi) 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

31 The people called the food man. It was like coriander seed, white; and it tasted like honey cakes. 32 Moshe said, “Here is what Adonai has ordered: ‘Let two quarts of man be kept through all your generations, so that they will be able to see the bread which I fed you in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.’” 33 Moshe said to Aharon, “Take a jar, put in it two quarts of man, and set it aside before Adonai to be kept through all your generations.” 34 Just as Adonai ordered Moshe, Aharon set it aside before the testimony to be kept. 35 The people of Isra’el ate man for forty years, until they came to an inhabited land. They ate man until they arrived at the borders of the land of Kena‘an. 36 (An ‘omer is one-tenth of an eifah [which is a bushel dry-measure].)

17 (vii) The whole community of the people of Isra’el left the Seen Desert, traveling in stages, as Adonai had ordered, and camped at Refidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. The people quarreled with Moshe, demanding, “Give us water to drink!” But Moshe replied, “Why pick a fight with me? Why are you testing Adonai?” However, the people were thirsty for water there and grumbled against Moshe, “For what did you bring us up from Egypt? To kill us, our children and our livestock with thirst?”

Moshe cried out to Adonai, “What am I to do with these people? They’re ready to stone me!” Adonai answered Moshe, “Go on ahead of the people, and bring with you the leaders of Isra’el. Take your staff in your hand, the one you used to strike the river; and go. I will stand in front of you there on the rock in Horev. You are to strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so the people can drink.” Moshe did this in the sight of the leaders of Isra’el. The place was named Massah [testing] and M’rivah [quarreling] because of the quarreling of the people of Isra’el and because they tested Adonai by asking, “Is Adonai with us or not?”

Then ‘Amalek came and fought with Isra’el at Refidim. Moshe said to Y’hoshua, “Choose men for us, go out, and fight with ‘Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with God’s staff in my hand.” 10 Y’hoshua did as Moshe had told him and fought with ‘Amalek. Then Moshe, Aharon and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 When Moshe raised his hand, Isra’el prevailed; but when he let it down, ‘Amalek prevailed. 12 However, Moshe’s hands grew heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aharon and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side and the other on the other; so that his hands stayed steady until sunset. 13 Thus Y’hoshua defeated ‘Amalek, putting their people to the sword.

(Maftir) 14 Adonai said to Moshe, “Write this in a book to be remembered, and tell it to Y’hoshua: I will completely blot out any memory of ‘Amalek from under heaven.” 15 Moshe built an altar, called it Adonai Nissi [Adonai is my banner/miracle], 16 and said, “Because their hand was against the throne of Yah, Adonai will fight ‘Amalek generation after generation.”

Prophetic Reading

Judges 4:4–5:31, 

Now D’vorah, a woman and a prophet, the wife of Lapidot, was judging Isra’el at that time. She used to sit under D’vorah’s Palm between Ramah and Beit-El, in the hills of Efrayim; and the people of Isra’el would come to her for judgment. She sent for Barak the son of Avino‘am, from Kedesh in Naftali, and said to him: “Adonai has given you this order: ‘Go, march to Mount Tavor, and take with you 10,000 men from the people of Naftali and Z’vulun. I will cause Sisra, the commander of Yavin’s army, to encounter you at the Kishon River with his chariots and troops; and I will hand him over to you.’”

Barak answered her: “If you go with me, I’ll go; but if you won’t go with me, I won’t go.” She replied, “Yes, I will gladly go with you; but the way you are doing it will bring you no glory; because Adonai will hand Sisra over to a woman.” Then D’vorah set out and went with Barak to Kedesh. 10 Barak summoned Z’vulun and Naftali to come to Kedesh. Ten thousand men followed him, and D’vorah went up with him.

11 Now Hever the Keini had cut himself off from the rest of Kayin, the descendants of Hovav Moshe’s father-in-law; he had pitched his tent near the oak at Tza‘ananim, which is close to Kedesh. 12 Sisra was informed that Barak the son of Avino‘am had gone up to Mount Tavor. 13 So Sisra rallied his chariots, all 900 iron chariots, and all the troops he had with him, from Haroshet-HaGoyim to the Kishon River.

14 D’vorah said to Barak: “Get going! This is the day when Adonai will hand Sisra over to you! Adonai has gone out ahead of you!” So Barak went down from Mount Tavor with 10,000 men following him; 15 and Adonai threw Sisra, all his chariots and his entire army into a panic before Barak’s sword; so that Sisra got down from his chariot and fled on foot. 16 But Barak pursued the chariots and the army all the way to Haroshet-HaGoyim. Sisra’s entire army was put to the sword; not one man was left.

17 However, Sisra ran on foot to the tent of Ya‘el the wife of Hever the Keini, because there was peace between Yavin the king of Hatzor and the family of Hever the Keini. 18 Ya‘el went out to meet Sisra and said to him, “Come in, my lord; stay here with me; and don’t be afraid.” So he went into her tent, and she covered him with a blanket. 19 He said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink — I’m thirsty.” She opened a goatskin of milk, gave him some to drink, and covered him up again. 20 He said to her, “Stand at the entrance to the tent; and if anyone asks you if somebody is here, say, ‘No.’” 21 But when he was deeply asleep, Ya‘el the wife of Hever took a tent peg and a hammer in her hand, crept in to him quietly and drove the tent peg into his temple, right through to the ground; so that he died without waking up. 22 So here is Barak pursuing Sisra, and Ya‘el steps out to meet him and says, “Come, I will show you the man you are looking for.” He goes into her tent; and there is Sisra, lying dead with the tent peg through his temple.

23 Thus God on that day defeated Yavin the king of Kena‘an in the presence of the people of Isra’el. 24 The hand of the people of Isra’el came down more and more heavily against Yavin the king of Kena‘an, until they had completely destroyed Yavin the king of Kena‘an.

On that day D’vorah and Barak the son of Avino‘am sang this song:

“When leaders in Isra’el dedicate themselves,
and the people volunteer,
you should all bless Adonai.
Hear, kings; listen, princes;
I will sing to Adonai!
I will sing praise to Adonai
the God of Isra’el.

Adonai, when you went out from Se‘ir,
when you marched out from the field of Edom;
the earth quaked, and the sky shook;
yes, the clouds poured down torrents.
The mountains melted at the presence of Adonai,
at Sinai, before Adonai the God of Isra’el.

“In the days of Shamgar the son of ‘Anat,
in the days of Ya‘el, the main roads were deserted;
travelers walked the byways.
The rulers ceased in Isra’el, they ceased,
until you arose, D’vorah,
arose a mother in Isra’el.

“They chose new gods when war was at the gates.
Was there a shield or spear to be seen
among Isra’el’s forty thousand men?
My heart goes out to Isra’el’s leaders
and to those among the people who volunteer.
All of you, bless Adonai.

10 “You who ride white donkeys,
sitting on soft saddle-blankets,
and you walking on the road,
talk about it!
11 Louder than the sound of archers at the watering-holes
will they sound as they retell
the righteous acts of Adonai,
the righteous acts of his rulers in Isra’el.

“Then Adonai’s people marched down to the gates.

12 “Awake, awake, D’vorah!
Awake, awake, break into song!
Arise, Barak! Lead away your captives,
son of Avino‘am!

13 “Then a remnant of the nobles marched down;
the people of Adonai marched down to me like warriors.
14 From Efrayim came those rooted in ‘Amalek.
Behind you, Binyamin is with your peoples.
From Makhir the commanders marched down,
and from Z’vulun those holding the musterer’s staff.
15 The princes of Yissakhar were with D’vorah,
Yissakhar, along with Barak;
into the valley they rushed forth behind him.
Among the divisions of Re’uven
they made great resolutions in their hearts.
16 But why did you stay at the pens for the sheep,
and listen to the shepherd’s flute playing for the flocks?
Concerning the divisions of Re’uven
there were great searchings of heart.
17 Gil‘ad lives beyond the Yarden.
Dan — why does he stay by the ships?
Asher stayed by the shore of the sea,
remaining near its bays.
18 The people of Z’vulun risked their lives,
Naftali too, on the open heights.

19 “Kings came; they fought.
Yes, the kings of Kena‘an fought
at Ta‘anakh, by the waters of Megiddo;
but they took no spoil of silver.
20 They fought from heaven, the stars in their courses;
yes, they fought against Sisra.
21 The Kishon River swept them away,
that ancient river, the Kishon River.
O my soul, march on with strength!
22 Then the horses’ hoofs pounded the ground,
their mighty steeds galloping at full speed.

23 “‘Curse Meroz!’ said the angel of Adonai,
‘Curse the people living there with a bitter punishment
for not coming to help Adonai,
to help Adonai against the mighty warriors.’

24 “Ya‘el will be blessed more than all women.
The wife of Hever the Keini
will be blessed more than any woman in the tent.
25 He asked for water, and she gave him milk;
In an elegant bowl she brought him curds.
26 Then she took a tent peg in her left hand
and a workman’s hammer in her right;
with the hammer she struck Sisra, pierced his skull,
yes, she shattered and crushed his temple.
27 He sank down at her feet, he fell and lay there;
he sank at her feet, he fell —
where he sank down, there he fell dead.

28 “Sisra’s mother looks out the window;
peering out through the lattice she wonders,
‘Why is his chariot so long in coming?
Why are his horses so slow to return?’
29 The wisest of her ladies answer her,
and she repeats it to herself,
30 ‘Of course! They’re collecting and dividing the spoil —
a girl, two girls for every warrior,
for Sisra booty of dyed clothing,
a plunder of colorfully embroidered garments,
two embroidered scarves for every soldier’s neck.’

31 “May all your enemies perish like this, Adonai;
but may those who love him be like the sun
going forth in its glory!”

Then the land had rest for forty years.

2 Peter 1

From: Shim‘on Kefa, a slave and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah

To: Those who, through the righteousness of our God and of our Deliverer Yeshua the Messiah, have been given the same kind of trust as ours:

May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God and Yeshua our Lord.

God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world.

For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins have been washed away. 10 Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble. 11 Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.

12 For this reason, I will always remind you about these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you already have. 13 And I consider it right to keep stirring you up with reminders, as long as I am in the tent of this body. 14 I know that I will soon lay aside this tent of mine, as our Lord Yeshua the Messiah has made clear to me. 15 And I will do my best to see that after my exodus, you will be able to remember these things at all times.

16 For when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, we did not rely on cunningly contrived myths. On the contrary, we saw his majesty with our own eyes. 17 For we were there when he received honor and glory from God the Father; and the voice came to him from the grandeur of the Sh’khinah, saying, “This is my son, whom I love; I am well pleased with him!” 18 We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.

19 Yes, we have the prophetic Word made very certain. You will do well to pay attention to it as to a light shining in a dark, murky place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. 20 First of all, understand this: no prophecy of Scripture is to be interpreted by an individual on his own; 21 for never has a prophecy come as a result of human willing — on the contrary, people moved by the Ruach HaKodesh spoke a message from God.

If it had only been by your hand it would have failed long ago. It is by the SHKHINYAH GLORY’S Wind that blows across this earth, the Holy Wind of Revival, it is not by your breath or it would have failed. (Isaiah 42:8)

Torah Portion: Pharaoh Traps Israelites Against Red Sea

Prophecy 27 Crossing For Amightywind Ministries: Elisheva Eliyahu’s Exodus & Ezra Arises As Apostle!”

Now I bond you together with Ezra. This is your spiritual father. This is the leader you can trust. He didn’t ask for this. But I told him there would be surprises. And I join the Ministry together [i.e. one Ministry, Ezra & Elisheva are already one spirit].

You’re going to see miracles happen. For this man is anointed for miracles. Even though I blot the name of ‘Nikomia’ out—that was just a spiritual name—but this is [the] man, I call “Caleb.” He is YAH’S Helper. And he is anointed when he prays, and when he lifts that Rod to chase the enemies away. As him and Elisheva have already proven when they put their hands on that Rod, they have the attention of Heaven. And miracles shall come forth so as today, they cross the Red Sea—is as today, she tells Paul, “You no longer frighten me!”

And Ezra you only pray for her to go forward, to push her to be the best—in all ways—you only encourage where she was discouraged. You pray life where the other prayed death. You pray victory where the other prayed defeat. You will never allow her to give up. You will even guard the words she says [reminding her]: “No negativity Elisheva!” You will be patient with this woman who’s only known abuse. You will be patient with the love that I have given you.

You will be patient with “YAHUSHUA’S demon stompers.” You will remember they need the love of a spiritual father.

This is the blessing that I give you this day! As you cross the Red Sea! This is the Passover I give you this day! As you cross the Red Sea! But she doesn’t cross it alone! I raise up “YAHUSHUA’S demon stompers.” And I raise up the one—that holds that Rod—that has an Anointing as unto Moses.

And as Elijah and a Moses—Eliyahu [& Moshe]—walk hand in hand, leading the way, you are going to see this Ministry have a rebirth this very day. Elisheva & E[zra] suffered the birth pains. Their body—literally felt the pain. And Ezra wrestled with the devil and demons, as the devil tried to chase him away!

Oh but this is a day of victory! This is the day you give ME glory! Behold I do a new thing! Behold I do a new thing!

The time is so short! The time is so short! The time is so short! There’ll be no more delay. For both of those hands are on that Rod! There’s no distance in the SPIRIT—I gave them signs and wonders—as they physically felt it! MY Ezra takes this seriously! He takes prayer seriously! Elisheva takes prayer seriously!

Prophecy 53 I Have Given You The Victory!”

Truly MY Children you face the Red Sea. Truly MY Children the evil Pharaoh and troops are behind you, but MY Children just as I provided a way of escape for Moses and the children of Israel, so too I shall do it again. MY Children, in the days ahead you shall see things come upon this world that will make you shake your head and you will wonder and you will say, “Where is our YAHUVEH and YAHUSHUA today?”

But keep your faith and keep your eyes on ME and you shall see the Red Sea part once again and you shall cross over in safety and the enemies shall be destroyed. All those that pursue you, all those that chase you, they shall be destroyed. For I am YAHUVEH and I change not. I am YAHUVEH, and I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. And through MY Son YAHUSHUA’s Blood, you come boldly before the Throne and you tell ME boldly what it is you need.

I tell you this day, I have given the victory. I tell you this day, though Elisabeth [Elisheva] was meant to be dead, I tell you this day that nothing that the enemy intended to do would I allow to be done. I tell you, I have given you the victory, though [fighting] for hours with the sword of My Spirit in hand, that door was once again opened.

Once again, MY Children, you see the victory. It was not an easy victory. I never promised you it would be an easy victory. When I tell you it will be a victory, just remember that no one ever told you it would be easy. It is true that MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light, but MY Children there is a price to pay for the anointing I have placed on all of your lives.

So you eat this Passover feast, you do not murmur or grumble because instead you do it with a grateful heart and remember what happened with the children of Israel. Remember the children of Israel who wandered for 40 years. It would not have been so if they had not murmured, complained and grumbled. But I made them walk around and around, as some would say, in circles. I made them walk around and around and tested them again and again.

I tell you MY Children, I tell you this true, don’t murmur, don’t complain, don’t grumble, no matter what I allow to happen to you. Instead lift your eyes up to ME. Instead give YAHUVEH and YAHUSHUA the glory. And know that I alone am your deliverer. And know that alone through the shed Blood of MY Son YAHUSHUA, that you have the victory. Through the sacred Name of YAHUSHUA, you alone have the victory. I have promised you this if you will but obey. If you will incline your ear to everything I say, I tell you MY children this, you will have the victory. Remember, with a victory comes a price. Remember, there is no soldier that goes into a battle that does not feel fatigued. There is no soldier that at one time does not want to run.

But remember MY Children, remember this that I have promised you the victory if you will but obey, if you will but incline your ear to every word that I say, if you will but stay in holiness and live as an example for all to see. I tell you this, MY Children, you and this ministry shall see total victory. You shall see your enemies die at MY hand alone. You shall see your enemies run at MY hand alone. You shall see your enemies bow and kneel and confess YAHUSHUA as Lord and Savior. And it shall be only as I have decreed the victory in MY Son YAHUSHUA’s Name. And you will know whatever price you pay will be worth it, for I have given you the privilege to bring ME Glory through your sufferings. Just as the prophets of old, when people see you stand, they will know that it is only by MY Hand that protects you and guides you in all ways.

Torah Portion: In True Humility The Praise Is Given To YAHUVEH

Prophecy 31 Your Passover Dwells Where Your Faith Dwells!

If MY People who call themselves by MY Name will humble themselves and fall on their knees and repent, I will heal their land! I will forgive them. Oh but they are stiff necked and obstinate, saying they are not sinning and yet the whole world sees the sin but American politicians and those that follow after the evil ones who do these things.

If America does not repent “I AM” will destroy their land, I will make a mockery out of the land once called the free and the brave. For all MY Babies, Bride, Chosen Ones and Elect reading this, turn not against Jerusalem. Turn not against Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem so I can bless you. Pray for the nations who the hand of war has been sent against by NATO. Pray MY People and grieve for what is being done. Once again MY Holy Days are being defiled by the heathen. I am not a God to be mocked. All those that desire a PASSOVER from MY wrath then I give this commandment that has never changed, observe and pray for your PASSOVER to come. HIS Name is YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH and pray you will be counted worthy to escape MY wrath and tribulation that is to come. Prepare a flee bag in case you need it before your MESSIAH comes for you. There are those that are reading this that will walk through the fire of MY wrath and tribulation. Some will do this and I will shelter them in a way you think not.

Others will read this and mock the handmaiden delivering this message. Beware, these are not her words you mock so again beware. These words you mock now will come back and haunt you for you mock the Great God “I AM,” not Sherrie Elijah’s [Elisheva Sherrie Eliyahu’s] words. If they were just her words they would be puffs of air, but when they are MY Words spoken they are words of living power and I will do what I am speaking. I send MY Prophets and apostles forth to prophecy before I send the Doom or blessings. Those of you who mock will taste MY wrath to come. She has been instructed to speak MY words whether they be pleasing to your ears or not. She will be held accountable if she holds back and compromises because of fear of what you or others in authority will say. All MY Prophets who hear the Great God “I AM” any of you have compromised and only sought to deliver words pleasing to ears and yet will bring much grief when what you speak doesn’t come to pass. You worry what your Prophet’s club has to say and not what the Great God “I AM” speaks. You compare notes and discern by your wisdom and revelation, not MY wisdom and revelation.

Beware those who call themselves MY Prophets and never speak the word REPENT and turn away from sin. Beware those who only speak of evil to come and yet give MY Children no hope! “I AM” is not in these prophecies. There is always a way of escape for MY beloved Babies, Bride, Chosen Ones, and Elect. I will provide a way when there seems to be none. Just because you know it not now, it is like a man with a ticket to ride, they don’t need the ticket until it is time to leave. You don’t need the wisdom now for if I were to tell MY Prophets of MY ways of escape then beloved, the enemy would know also. I have MY ‘Hidden ones’ that is all you need to know at this time. Not all will be told to Flee. If you don’t hear me speak it and confirm and witness it in your Spirit, then I will protect you where you are. If I don’t tell you where to Flee now, then I will tell you when the time comes for you to leave.

Prophecy 1 Judgment Starts At The House of YAHUVEH!

I choose to use this vessel because she thinks she is the weakest of the lot, but I say once again, I will use the humble and meek, those who no one thinks I will use for MY power shows up best in weak people. Others know it is not of them and they don’t boast. For they know it is only MY anointing that breaks every yoke, fetter, chain, shackle and bondage. It is not by your might nor power but by MY Spirit. Thus saith YAHUSHUA, “I chose to come as a babe, the weakest of all to prove, don’t look on the outward, look on the inward. The anointing knows no gender, race, age.” Thus saith YAHUSHUA, “I chose to come as a babe, the weakest of all to prove, don’t look on the outward, look on the inward. The RUACH ha KODESH (Holy Spirit) uses willing, obedient vessels of clay, not those that shout, “Use me because I am so beautiful, I am more holy than the rest.” I will not use those who think they are gold; I use those that know they are broken vessels of clay but mighty warriors for YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH. In 1997, I will launch out those who have had ministries that have remained humble or nonexistent to the mass majority.

I will use those who think they are not popular, beautiful, lack the education, those that know they can do nothing without MY anointing of the RUACH ha KODESH (Holy Spirit). Those that have been discarded, abused, ignored, told to give up, it’s not worth it.

 

Teaching

Beshalach -When He Let Go

“Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that ELOHIM did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for ELOHIM said, ‘Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.’”  (Exodus 13:17)

 

 

In last week’s study, after the last and most devastating of the Ten Plagues Death of the Firstborn, Pharaoh finally relented in letting the Israelites go free.

 

This week, however, in Parasha Beshalach, Pharaoh changes his mind and races after them to bring them back into slavery.

 

Thinking they are lost in the wilderness, Pharaoh seemingly traps them against the Red Sea.  There is no escape.

 

But ELOHIM miraculously splits the waters so that His people pass through on dry land, while the Egyptians drown behind them.

 

In relief and thankfulness to ELOHIM for this amazing victory over those who wished to enslave them, Moshe (Moses) and the Israelites sing a beautiful song called Shirat HaYam -שירת הים, the Song of the Sea.  Some also call it Az Yashir Moshe -then Moses sang, which are the first words of the Song of the Sea (Exodus 15:1).

 

This song is recited daily as part of the Shacharit (morning prayer service).

 

It is written in a unique wave or brick-like pattern in the Torah scroll and is recited in regular chant and traditional melodies.

 

The Song of the Sea (Exodus 15:1–18)

 

 

 

In true humility, this song gives no glory to the leadership of Moses or praise to the people for the faith it took to walk between walls of water, but totally gives the glory and praise to YAHUVEH.

 

“I will sing to YAHUVEH, for He is highly exalted.  Both horse and driver He has hurled into the sea.”  (Exodus 15:1)

 

This song of Moses is, perhaps, also mentioned in the Brit Chadashah (New Testament) as a song that will be sung by those who defeat the beast in the end times.  However, this time they will be singing by the sea of glass instead of the Red Sea and holding harps instead of tambourines:

 

“Those defeating the beast, its image and the number of its name were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps which YAH had given them.  They were singing the song of Moshe, the servant of YAH, and the song of the Lamb:  ‘Great and wonderful are the things you have done, Adonai, ELOHIM of heaven’s armies!’”  (Revelation 15:2–3)

 

 

Moses’ sister, Miriam, also goes out with the maidens, and they dance for joy with tambourines.

 

Because of these songs, this week’s Parasha is also called

Shabbat Shirah –Sabbath of Singing.

 

Besides reading the Song of the Sea and the Song of Miriam on Shabbat Shirah, some have the custom of feeding the birds, in honor of the beautiful melodies that they sing and, perhaps, the manna that was found on the ground by the Israelites in this reading.

 

This is, of course, unusual in that wild birds are generally not fed on the Shabbat; only domesticated birds such as geese and chickens may be fed.

 

Shabbat should not be broken by feeding animals that can fend for themselves, although there is a responsibility to feed the pets and domesticated animals that are under your care.

 

 

Haftarah Reading: The Song of Deborah

 

Both the Torah portion and the Haftarah prophetic portion of this week’s study contain victory songs by YAH’s people.

 

In the Parasha, the Israelites sing the Song of the Sea, extolling and honoring God for delivering them from Egypt.  In the Haftarah, the Song of Deborah is sung when ELOHIM gives them victory over General Sisera and the Canaanites.

 

“Then Deborah and Barak the son of Avinoaam sang on that day, saying: ‘When leaders lead in Israel, when the people willingly offer themselves, bless YAHUVEH!  Hear, O kings!  Give ear, O princes!  I, even I, will sing to YAHUVEH; I will sing praise to YAHUVEH ELOHIM of Israel.’”  (Judges 5:1–3)

 

In the Song of the Sea, only ELOHIM receives praise and glory while in the Song of Deborah, the actions of valiant men and women are also praised.

 

 

There are several other connections between the Torah portion and this prophetic portion from the Book of Judges.

 

In both accounts of Israel’s victories, their enemies had assembled against them in chariots, but ELOHIM threw their enemies into a panic.

 

Also, in both the Parasha and Haftarah, Israel’s enemies were swept away in water, and the women celebrated by singing and dancing.

 

Music is a beautiful, ELOHIM-given gift to His people.  Sadly, many in the world misuse this gift to glorify the powers of darkness with vulgarity and promiscuity or the promotion of violence and death.  However, we can use the gift of song to praise ELOHIM for His goodness and mercy.

 

Our response to the victories that YAH brings us in our lives can be freely expressed with rejoicing, with singing and with dancing, just as Moses, Miriam, and Deborah did:

 

“Awake, awake, Deborah!  Awake, awake, sing a song!  Arise, Barak, and lead your captives away, O son of Avinoaam!”  (Judges 5:12)

 

 

 

The Long Way Home

 

The Hebrew word Beshalach (בְּשַׁלַּח), the name of this Parasha, means when he sent.

 

Pharaoh didn’t simply let the people go; he sent the Israelites away.

 

When he did, ELOHIM did not lead them on the straightest, most direct route to their Promised Land, which would have taken them through Philistine territory and into certain battle.  Instead, He led them around and through the Red Sea or Yam Suf literally, Sea of Reeds.

 

Why didn’t YAH take them on the quickest route and into battle?

 

a story of a man who purchases a cow and takes her home to produce milk for his family, not to kill her for her meat.

 

Because the slaughterhouse is on the path to his home, he takes her on a longer, more roundabout route so that she will not smell the blood from the slaughterhouse and try to escape his care.

 

 

Similarly, YAH did not want the Israelites to go through Philistine territory and immediately encounter a war, lest they lose heart in YAH’s protective care and run back to Egypt.

 

Likewise, YAH might not take you on the most direct route to fulfilling your destiny.  Instead, He just might take you out of the way a bit, proving His magnificent love for you by parting a sea on the way or lighting your path during a time of darkness.

 

With that firsthand experience of YAH’s Presence, your faith will be made stronger to sustain you in the trials that will certainly come to you further down the road.

 

Still, as with any relationship, it takes more than one great experience with YAH to know who He is and to understand His character, integrity, and love.  So sometimes the journey to our destiny is more than roundabout; it is the long way.

 

This truth is evident at the Red Sea.  Even though the Israelites experienced walking out of Egypt with the spoils of the land and their firstborn sons still alive, that was not enough to calm their fears for long.

 

 

 

On the Way to the Promised Land

 

“And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them.  So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to YAHUVEH.”  (Exodus 14:10)

 

The Israelites’ reaction when they saw Pharaoh pursuing them confirms that they were not yet ready for battle.

 

The frightened Israelites did the right thing with their fear: they cried out to ELOHIM!

 

Then they did the wrong thing: they blamed Moses for bringing them out of Egypt, only to be annihilated by Pharaoh’s soldiers.  They considered it better to have been left to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.

(Exodus 14:11)

 

Sometimes, when moving on the path to greater freedom, we may encounter fearful challenges and wish we had just stayed where we were, no matter how painful or uncomfortable that old place felt.  

 

Nevertheless, moving ahead means facing new challenges and seeing YAH’s power demonstrated as we overcome them.

 

Moses reassured the Israelites that ELOHIM would fight their battles for them, and they would only need to hold their peace.

 

“But Moses said to the people, ‘Do not fear!  Stand by and see the salvation of YAHUVEH which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.  YAHUVEH will fight for you while you keep silent.”  (Exodus 14:13–14)

 

 

The Israelites had a dilemma: they were trapped between a big sea and an angry Egyptian army — and Moses told them to “keep silent.”

 

That silence involved a choice.

 

On one hand, they could keep silent, hear the approaching chariots, and surrender to them in overwhelming fear and helplessness.

 

On the other hand, they could keep silent, listen for YAH’s direction to move forward –kadima!, and obey Him.

 

“And YAHUVEH said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry to Me?  Tell the children of Israel to go forward.’”  (Exodus 14:15)

 

Their silence was not meant to be passive.  It involved action.

 

So often we are told to “wait upon YAHUVEH,” and we often accept this to mean “do nothing.”

 

It is true that there are times when we must find the patience to simply do nothing but wait until YAH shows us His direction; however, there are also times when YAH says, “Move forward!”  At those times, we are to rise up from bended knee in heroic faith and go!

 

 

ELOHIM has wonderful blessings and victories in store for us if we would only take the first steps of faith, trusting in His leadership and wisdom.  Through YAHUSHUA we are more than conquerors.  (Romans 8:37)

 

Let us, then, not miss our orders to go forward with boldness and confidence to possess the Land that is ours.

 

Moses demonstrated great faith to his people.  We also need to encourage those who are fearful, reminding them of YAH’s great power, love, and faithfulness.

 

“Say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, do not fear; your GOD will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you.’”  (Isaiah 35:4)

 

Today, as the people of Israel stand surrounded by a sea of hostile enemies, bombarded by a wave of terrorism, may all Believers reach out to the Jewish People with words of faith and courage that YAH is not only our physical salvation but also our spiritual Salvation YAHUSHUA.

 

He will fight our battles for us.  And as we go forward, we can be at peace as we trust in Him.

 

 

“You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance —the place, ELOHIM, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, ELOHIM, your hands established.”  (Exodus 15:17)
